5 Signs That You Are Being Used

Our friends and loved ones are there to uplift and support us. They are the ones we call on if we have problems and the ones we turn to when we are down. The thought of being used and taken advantage of by a friend or loved one can be very scary. Here are some signs to be aware of when you get this feeling.

1. Sudden Distance: One minute you are talking to them all the time and the next you haven't heard from them in weeks. This may be because they no longer need you for anything at the moment. Once you are needed again the calls will resume.

2. One-sided Support: You will be happy and supportive of their goals and aspirations. Once you begin to accomplish your own goals, they will not want to discuss it. They will change the subject or not show interest at all in what you have going on.

3. Mood Swings: If you are not doing something that interests them they will not want to spend time with you. When the both of you are out with mutual friends, their mood towards you changes. They are not as sweet and attentive as when the two of you are alone.

4. No Money, No calls: If they are hurting and in a bad place you are the person they will call for advice or help. When the tables turn you will not be able to get the same from them. They will all of a sudden be nowhere to be found.

5. Bored Calls: When they are bored and no one else is giving them attention you are the first person they call. You may get late calls when they are getting off from work or calls when they are headed to the store, but never when they are around family or friends.

Try to avoid these friendships and relationships. These types of people will break you down and show no remorse for hurting you. Choose your relationships wisely.
