Ever Been Told You Wear Too Much Makeup?

Ladies I know you are familiar with this question. "Why do you wear makeup when you look so pretty without it?" Or how about this one, "You wear too much makeup." This is my all time favorite, "Who are you trying to impress?" A lot of times we will hear these things come from other women but most of the time it comes from men. Why are they so concerned though?

Women have been wearing makeup forever. Why has it become such a big deal now? The real question is why are people so worried about what other people do to their skin? Does it make your day by trying to put down another woman for wearing something you know nothing about? If we taught you how to apply it correctly would it make you feel better? 

Wearing makeup gives you a sense of empowerment. We do not wear makeup to impress men. We wear makeup for ourselves. Some wear makeup to cover some of their imperfections. Others wear makeup because it makes them look less tired.Then you have those that just love how they feel afterwards. 

People will put down the things they don't understand. Are we supposed to feel upset because you don't like us wearing makeup? Do you see us going around asking women that don't wear makeup why they don't? Men will complain about how much makeup we wear and turn around and idealize a woman with the same contour. Your WCW was baking just as long as I was this morning lol.

The right makeup with the right outfit does something to your day. Those that don't wear makeup will never understand the level of satisfaction you get when those brows come out with the right level of thickness and that arch is on point. They will never be able to enjoy the sense of confidence you get when that wing is just right. Men think they are the highlight of our day but it's really because that face was beat for the GAWDS! The truth is we really don't care what you think about us wearing makeup. We're still going to use it. 

Ladies don't let someone else's insecurities get you down. Do what you love to do and what makes you happy! Here are some quick responses for the next time someone tries to put you down for wearing your makeup...

"Why do you wear makeup it's not good for you?"

-Neither are you but you're still around

"What boy are you trying to impress?"

-You think I own 78 mac lipsticks to impress a boy that doesn't know the difference between Ruby Woo and Media?

"You look different with all that makeup."

-Well I don't spend my money on lipstick, eyeliner, and foundation to look the same!

"I like you better without makeup"

-I like you better without cheating but we can't always get what we want can we?

"That's too much makeup!"

-And how is worrying about my makeup going to pay your bills again?
